You’ve searched high and low but can’t remember where you placed your credit or debit card. Don’t panic — help is just a phone call away. FAA Federal Credit Union offers a 24/7 service for cardholders to report lost or stolen cards. It is extremely important to call us as soon as you realize your card is lost or stolen. Early notification is critical in preventing fraud
Here’s how it works:
Credit and debit card transactions are processed against a real-time electronic file. That means the file is updated every second. If a card is reported lost or stolen, we can block the account immediately. Once the account is blocked, no cards with the same account number will be valid. Therefore, additional cards issued with the same account number cannot be used. This measure helps prevent any additional fraudulent activity from occurring on the account.
Fast action is key to preventing fraudulent charges. Report the loss or theft of your credit or debit card immediately by calling (888) 263-3370.
To properly identify you as the cardholder, our operators will ask several verification questions when you call us. If the card was stolen, you may be asked to file a police report and provide us with the report number. If you find your lost card, cut it in half and dispose of it securely.
At FAA Federal Credit Union, we strive to provide the highest level of service. After reporting your card lost or stolen, you should receive your replacement card within seven to ten business days. Debit cards can be replaced at some of our locations. You can be assured that we will do our best to make the card replacement process as smooth as possible.
